Beginning in the 1860s, Pleasant View has gone through many changes and actually serves a completely different purpose than it did during its inception. From a “poor farm”, to a mental health institute (for the insane) , to a post hospitalization medical facility, it has now become a center for care for our seniors in the area. Pleasant View is actively changing the care that is provided, and creating a new approach to skilled nursing and rehabilitation. This is particularly true for residents that are suffering with dementia. The Dementia Stabilization Unit is a new approach to treatment, and the very first in the state of Wisconsin.
