Founded in 2015, Ms. J and Co. is focused on the development of small ruminant dairy production in the United States, including establishing and improving a dairy sheep and dairy goat flock focused on the production of quality sheep and Goat milk and artisan cheese making.

Episode Details

Owners Jeff Wideman, Shirley Knox, and Mariana Marques de Almeida have a created a scaleable and sustainable sheep farm that focuses on providing milk for the cheese and yogurt industries. They have created a flock of sheep that is almost 100% ASSAF  genetics, a Spanish breed known for high milk output. 

They “hope to influence and foster the creation of additional small ruminant dairy farms, by providing professional support and comprehensive training for new small ruminant dairy farmers who want to adventure in this new and exciting business, which is the sheep and goat dairy industry.”

Quite impressive.
